Hitachi Park is located in the Japanese city hitachinaka ( Ibaraki Prefecture ) . The park was founded in 1991 on the site of a former US military base and currently occupies 120 hectares . At a certain season in the park blooms certain kind of flowers - tulips , poppies , daffodils , lilies, cherry . The plantations are located on the slope of Miharashi , with spectacular views of the Pacific coast.
